Investments A Major Investment For The Romanian Textile Industries
The Belgian company Uco Textiles decided to invest eur 15 million in a production capacity for denim fabrics used for jeans. The investment of Uco Textiles is a Brownfield investment, the plant located in a building in Giurgiu Industrial Park. This is the fifth production facility of UCO TEXTILES, apart from two in Belgium and two in the United States.
The officials of the Belgian company expressed their intention to start the production. Furthermore, they formulated the future plans for the years to come, consisting of increasing the production and trade capacity. The first phase of the project stands for the creation of 200 workplaces.
UCO TEXTILES is the holding company of a number of textile companies in Belgium and in United States, producing a wide variety from the raw cotton to the finished fabric, with an annual capacity of 26,000,000 meters. UCO SPORTSWEAR is the division producing and selling a diversified collection of denim and leisurewear fabrics supplying the most famous jeans brands in the United States.
