The Spanish producer of auto components, Manufactura Moderna de Metales, will open a new factory for transformation of metal tubes (steel, stainless steel and aluminium) for automotive systems: engine parts (fuel pipes, water pipes, oil guides, cooling pipes, EGR pipes, inserts cylinders-block), steering power pipes, brake tubes, air conditioning and structural pipes.
The new company, MMM Autoparts SRL, will invest 5 million Euro over and will provide approximately 250 jobs, after finishing the construction works. The production is foreseen to start at beginning of 2007.
Following completion of the new manufacturing unit in Romania, MMM will benefit of competitive operating costs and logistics advantages, due to short deliveries to OEM manufacturers in Romania and in the neighboring countries. From a strategic standpoint, Romania is a good location for the company’s future expansion in Eastern Europe.
“We have cooperated well with ARIS and local authorities, since the starting phase of the project planning and the authorities proved to be a reliable partner for MMM’s investment project” stated Adam Ambrus, company’s consultant.
The manufacturing area is built in several stages on 2.7 hectares area. The first manufacturing module will have 5000 sqm and will comprise one hall and offices.
